Pedro Machado
Managing Partner
Born and raised in Lisbon, Pedro is a Tourism graduate with a Master's degree in Business Management. Pedro's strong relationship with sports started with swimming, followed by youth football / soccer and 2 weeks of try-outs in Sporting CP academy, it was only in 2010 that Pedro discovered the sport of his life. A current Portuguese lacrosse national team player, he is one of the persons in charge of the sport's development in the country.
Pedro's sports background brought him to work in the sports tourism and events industry since 2016, being involved in multiple sports tours, training camps, tournaments and corporate sports events. Passionate about Sports, Logistics, and Events, Pedro is always aiming for that extra ingredient to make your sports experience unforgettable.
Francisco Ortigão
Managing Partner
Born in the northern city of Porto, Francisco grew up in a family passionate about football. Throughout his entire life, he played football and soon discovered also the indescribable pleasure of surfing. He loves to explore, whether traveling or trying new sports - he even created a photo blog of unique sports facilities in the world.
Francisco's professional career has always been linked to sports. After graduating in business management, he joined a sports retail company followed by a master's degree from the Johan Cruyff Institute in Barcelona. He returned to Portugal to work in sports tourism and events and, since then, he has coordinated events in +40 different sports, always with a vision of continuous improvement and innovation in the projects in which he is involved.
Luis Viana
Project Manager
Born and raised in Sintra, Luís has always been passionate about sports. He played federated football from the age of 7, which deepened his love for football and sports in general. He posteriorly concluded his football journey but continued practicing other sports such as surfing, underwater hockey, padel, and more.
Later, he moved to Rio Maior, where he completed a degree in Sports Organizations Management, followed by a master’s degree in Sports Management at the Faculty of Human Kinetics in Lisbon. During his academic journey, Luís gained practical experience through internships at Sporting Clube de Portugal and the Portuguese Surfing Federation, where he applied his management knowledge and also by organizing national and international sports events.
In 2021 he joined the O-sports team, where he is involved not only in the training camps and organization of sports events but also actively participates in on-site operations, ensuring he is an integral part of event execution.
Miguel Marques
Project Manager
Born in Lisbon, Miguel Marques has a degree in Sports Management from the Faculty of Human Motricity and the Higher Institute of Economics and Management.
He started his career at O-Sports in 2021, while still a student, collaborating in the organization of events and gaining experience until he joined the team after completing his higher education.
Miguel is passionate about soccer and is even part of the staff of a professional team, but his love of sport is greater and he has already coordinated internships for multiple sports, including basketball, lacrosse and swimming.
Whenever possible, he likes to get out of the office and accompany the groups and be on the ground, taking advantage of the benefits that our destinations offer.
Francisco Rocha

Born and raised in Lisbon, with a visit to Rio Maior for a degree in Management of Sports Organizations at the Rio Maior School of Sport, Francisco is passionate about many sports and whenever life allows, he spends the day watching every possible sport.
His professional career began as the manager of a paintball park, but the adventure was short-lived, as after 15 days he received an offer to join the Sporting Clube de Portugal Academy as Technical Secretary for the Youth Teams. Three years later, he was invited to join the Women's Professional Football Team as Team Manager, where he stayed for another two and a half years before joining O-Sports.
Matilde d`Orey
Project Manager
Project Manager
Born in Cascais, Matilde holds a degree in Social and Cultural Communication from the Portuguese Catholic University, with a strong connection to the world of sports and events.
From an early age, she began working in sports events, particularly in surf related events, gaining practical experience as well in other simpler and more traditional events. This hands-on experience further strengthened her interest in event organization and dynamics.
Passionate about sports, she started her journey in tennis, where she competed, and over time explored various sports such as judo, surfing, and rugby. She currently plays padel, maintaining a close connection to different sports.
Ricardo Barbosa
Project Manager
Born in Lisbon, Ricardo Barbosa holds a degree in Sports Management from the Faculty of Human Kinetics and the Lisbon School of Economics and Management.
His passion for sports has always been present in his life, having participated in various volunteer roles at sports events, as well as being involved as a football and futsal player and coach.
His professional path includes administrative coordination at a fitness center, followed by a role at a corporate wellness consultancy, where he developed experience in organizing sports and corporate events, team-building activities, and marketing initiatives. In 2025, he joined O-Sports as a Project Manager, contributing to the development of outstanding sports experiences.
Mariana Passagem
Sales Executive
Born in Leiria, Mariana holds a degree in Tourism Business Management from the Estoril Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotel Studies.
Her professional journey began in the hospitality sector, where she had direct contact with event organization and sports teams—experiences that sparked her interest in the world of sports.
With the goal of deepening her knowledge in this field, she completed the Sports Event Management Course from the Portuguese Football Federation, complementing her academic background with a specialized perspective on the sports industry.
She is currently part of the O-Sports team as a Sales Executive, where she combines her strong interpersonal and communication skills with her knowledge of the tourism, events, and sports sectors, contributing to business development and the building of solid, long-lasting relationships.
Marta Moix Sagi-Vela
Project Manager
Marta Moix Sagi-Vela holds an MBA in Sports Management from the University of Vigo and has built her career in international basketball across Europe and the United States.
A former NCAA and professional basketball player, she combines elite playing experience with several years working in athlete recruitment, development, and sports event management.
Her professional path includes leading international partnerships with universities, institutions, and agents to create athlete pathways, scholarships, and development opportunities, as well as organizing and delivering showcases, training camps, clinics, and tournaments. She joined O-Sports in Spain as Project Manager, focusing on business development and event organization.
