United Nations Inter-Agency Games 2026 Bring Together 1,500 Participants in Crete

The United Nations Inter-Agency Games 2026 took place from May 6 to 9 in Crete, Greece, bringing together professionals from around the world for one of the largest corporate sports event in Greece and for the third time, UN trusted O-Sports to manage this amazing event from start to finish, from the sports competitions to the venue preparations, event logistics, audiovisual and stage arrangements as well as the cultural performances.

The United Nations continues its mission of fostering cooperation and global development, and this annual event plays a key role in strengthening relationships across agencies such as UNICEF, UNESCO, WHO, and WFP.

As a flagship international corporate sports event, the Games gathered around 1,500 participants from over 140 countries, competing in a wide range of disciplines. This year’s edition featured 18 sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, beach volleyball, chess, cricket, cross-country, darts, football, golf, padel, pétanque, billiards, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, pickleball, and tennis.

Set in Crete, one of the most iconic destinations for sports events in Greece, the event combined competition, networking, and cultural experiences.

The opening ceremony took place on May 6, followed by several days of competition, culminating in a closing ceremony and gala on May 9 — celebrating unity, teamwork, and international collaboration through sport.
