The 8th edition of the Lisboa Lacrosse Cup took place on June 22 and 23, 2024, in Lisbon, Portugal. Unlike more competitive tournaments, this event is designed to be a fun and engaging experience that brings lacrosse players together to share their love of the sport. The tournament, as always, was a great success, bringing together teams from various countries, all competing in a friendly atmosphere.
The event took place at Lisbon's University Stadium, which offers an excellent setting with natural and synthetic grass pitches. Over the weekend, players and spectators enjoyed two days of exciting lacrosse action, in which the teams faced each other in round-robin and playoff games. Portugal's men's team won the men's division, while Xavier University from the USA won the women's competition, highlighting the tournament's international appeal.
The venue also featured a variety of food trucks, offering participants and fans a wide selection of food and drinks throughout the event. The Lisboa Lacrosse Cup continues to be one of the most entertaining lacrosse events in Europe, providing not only great games, but also opportunities for players to network, learn and develop the sport. With a relaxed atmosphere, food trucks and medical support on site, the tournament was a fantastic weekend for players and fans alike. After another successful edition, the event hopes to welcome even more teams in the future.
