The 3rd edition of the Portugal Basketball Festival took place in Lisbon on June 29 and 30, 2024, bringing together talented youth basketball teams from around the world. This year’s tournament featured male categories U15, U17, U19, and U23, as well as female U17 teams, with participation from countries such as Portugal, France, Switzerland, Ireland, England, Denmark, USA, Canada, and the Bahamas.
Teams competed in a round-robin group stage on Saturday, followed by placement games and finals on Sunday, ensuring each team played at least four games over the weekend. The tournament saw an exceptional display of skill, teamwork, and passion.
In addition to the on-court action, the festival offered a vibrant atmosphere with a food court, live music, and a fun zone, making it a memorable experience for both participants and spectators. Held in high regard, the tournament provided players with an opportunity to compete at an international level while enjoying everything the venue had to offer.
O-Sports, the organizing company behind the event, handled all logistics, including accommodations, airport transfers, and transportation for games, training, and meals, ensuring a seamless experience for all. The event culminated in a celebratory awards ceremony, recognizing the outstanding performances of the teams, with the winners being honored in front of a global audience.
Plans are already underway for the next edition, scheduled for June 28 and 29, 2025, where we aim to welcome even more teams from around the world.
