On October 14, 2024, the Municipality of Braga hosted the 11th edition of the Sports Gala, which aims to celebrate Braga’s sports and honor all national champions, international medalists, university and school athletes, as well as coaches, officials, referees, and sports events.
O-Sports was present on this monday night at the Braga Forum, where the Women’s European Lacrosse Championship (WELC) was nominated for Best Sports Event of the Year.
The WELC took place between July 10 and 20, 2024, in the city of Braga, where 19 European women’s lacrosse teams competed for the title of European Champions and their spot in the World Championship. Our team was responsible for organizing all logistics for the event, including airport reception, transportation to training sessions, game schedules and locations, accommodation, meals, opening and closing ceremonies, and much more.
The winner of the WELC 2024 was the England team, followed by Israel in 2nd place and Scotland in 3rd, with the MVP award presented to Anna Lottmann from the Croatian team. To celebrate the success of the event, a farewell party was held at Jardim dos Coimbras on July 20, including food and drinks, marking the end of a memorable occasion.
